Do you have a hard time getting started writing articles? Getting started is the largest challenge for most, or all, writers. Regardless of how many articles we have written in the past, we appear to have difficulty getting the first line out on the screen. The very first thing I typically do to assist in getting started is to carve out an outline for my article. The outline gives a kick-off and should make the rest of the process that much simpler. Get the outline complete and you’ll find that the rest of the article writing process is much more straightforward and quicker.

Set aside about 15 minutes and just write whatever comes to your mind without editing. Think about some ideas you would like to cover and write favoring points for those thoughts. Review your notes and then assemble your outline. When you arrange your outline bear in mind the objective of the article. Then home in on the main points you want to cover. As you come up with more supporting material, your outline will build. After this, create an intro for every one of your sections.

At this point you should come up with a end point. The conclusion should be sustaining of all the main concepts in your outline. You now should have enough material for a first draft for your article. Your revision process should be a similar process to your brainstorming. Just write without editing and don’t be bothered with perfection.

Understand that nobody will be looking at your first draft. Your revision will later be revised into the article which may be the finalized product. As you move thru this process, you will see the article forming before you. Always refer to your outline and let it be the central point of your article. An outline doesn’t only supply a plan for your article, it gives you a jump off point to work with.

Your article outline creation abilities will be something you will refine with a little practice. If you continue this process, you’ll be writing articles more successfully and quickly in no time.
